'അച്ചാച്ചൻ മരിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഞങ്ങൾക്കു നേരെയുണ്ടായ ആക്രമണം ഉമ്മൻ ചാണ്ടി സർ മരിച്ചപ്പോൾ ചാണ്ടി ഉമ്മന് നേരെയോ, ടി.എം. ജേക്കബ് സർ മരിച്ചപ്പോൾ അനൂപിന് നേരെയോ ഉണ്ടായിട്ടില്ല. ജോസിനെ തീർക്കാനുളള ശ്രമമായിരുന്നു അത്. കേരള കോൺഗ്രസ് ഇല്ലാതാവണമെന്ന് ചിലർ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു. അതിനൊപ്പം അച്ചാച്ചനെയും എന്നെയും കുറിച്ച് വളരെ മോശം കാര്യങ്ങൾ പറഞ്ഞു പ്രചരിപ്പിച്ചു. ചിത്രങ്ങൾ മോർഫ് ചെയ്ത് വൃത്തികെട്ട കമന്റുകൾ വന്നു. ആ സംഭവം എന്നെയും എന്റെ കുടുംബത്തെയും വല്ലാതെ വിഷമിപ്പിച്ചു. അച്ഛൻ എന്നോട് മിണ്ടാതെയായി. പുറമെ ബോൾഡായി നിന്നപ്പോഴും ഞാൻ പതിയെ ഡിപ്രഷനിലേയ്ക്ക് വീഴുകയായിരുന്നു.' വൺ ഇന്ത്യയോടൊപ്പം നിഷ ജോസ് കെ മാണി. “When my father passed away, there were people who threw stones at us. But when Oommen Chandy passed away, Chandy stood with us. That was an attempt to target Jose. Some wanted Kerala Congress to disappear. Along with that, very nasty things were said and spread about my father and me. Morphed images and filthy comments surfaced. That incident deeply hurt me and my family. My father stopped talking to me. Even though I appeared bold on the outside, I was slowly slipping into depression,” said Nisha Jose K Mani in an interview with OneIndia Malayalam.
